Rhythm Masters was founded in 2015 by Sarah Johnson, a professional drummer with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. After years of touring and recording, Sarah recognized the need for a drum school that combined technical expertise with a supportive, creative learning environment.
What began as private lessons in a small studio has grown into a thriving community of drummers of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is simple: to help every student discover their unique rhythmic voice while building a solid technical foundation.
Today, Rhythm Masters is proud to be one of the leading drum schools in the area, with a team of experienced instructors who are not only accomplished drummers but also passionate educators.
We recognize that every student has unique goals and learning styles. Our curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs, whether you're a beginner picking up sticks for the first time or an advanced player refining complex techniques.
We believe in building a strong technical foundation through proper technique, rudiments, and reading skills. This approach prevents injuries and enables students to express themselves freely without technical limitations.
Drums don't exist in isolation. We teach our students to be musicians first and drummers second, emphasizing how to play musically in different contexts and with other instruments.
While technique is important, we equally value creativity and personal expression. We encourage students to develop their unique voice on the instrument through improvisation, composition, and exploring diverse musical styles.

With over 15 years of professional experience, Sarah has toured internationally and recorded with numerous artists. She specializes in jazz and rock drumming and is passionate about helping beginners build a solid foundation.
Performance Coach
Lisa holds degrees in both Music Performance and Psychology, giving her a unique perspective on performance anxiety and stage presence. She helps students build confidence and overcome mental barriers to performing.
World Percussion Specialist
James has studied percussion traditions from West Africa, India, and Latin America. He specializes in teaching polyrhythms, hand drumming, and incorporating diverse cultural elements into modern drumming.
Drum Technician & Instructor
Emma specializes in drum maintenance, tuning, and setup optimization. In addition to teaching, she conducts workshops on equipment care and helps students get the best sound from their instruments.
Classical Percussion Instructor
With a Master's degree in Percussion Performance, Michael brings classical training and orchestral experience to our team. He specializes in rudimental technique, concert percussion, and reading complex notation.
Our sound-isolated teaching rooms are equipped with dual drum kits, allowing instructors to demonstrate concepts and play along with students. Each room features professional recording equipment for instant feedback and progress tracking.
Students can book our practice rooms to work on assignments between lessons. Each room is equipped with a drum kit, metronome, and playback system for practicing with music.
Our small performance area hosts regular student showcases, masterclasses, and guest artist workshops. It's a supportive environment for students to gain valuable performance experience.
